Non-vegetarians find always the difficult and stressful to prepare food for vegetarians. However, it is a very simple and easy task. More and more people become vegetarians these days and vegetarian appetizers for political parties has become a must for any party.

These preparations take less time than all other preparations. Throw together some tahini, olive oil and some salt. Add some crushed chickpeas from a Tin and you have a nice dip known as hummus. In order to give it the real hummus crushed flavour, you must add the garlic. This is a dip for everyone at your party, and not just for your vegetarians.

If you want your vegetarian guests to feel a little more special, make them a few chips from Collard Greens or spinach. No need to remove the shaft, because they can keep it when the dipping it into guacamole or hummus you have prepared. These chips do not require any salt which they already have their own salt taste. You can FRY them with fleshy foliage in some oil to sharp.

An appetizer that most people would not think of is to make certain flower fritters. There are many flowers are edible, but the ones you would most likely have in your garden is your nasturtiums and lavender flowers. All you need to do is to immerse them in some Batter and Fry until golden brown. If you leave the stems, when picking them up, so it's easier to keep. Both of these flowers have a relaxing quality and make your guests very comfortably.

Jalapeno peppers are perfect to use as an appetizer for vegetarians. Slice them open and remove the seeds inside and FRY or bake in the oven. If they are quite large, you can fill them with any type of fill that would improve the taste. Steer clear of cheese to which not all vegetarians eat or drink milk. Because they come in lovely green or red, they would be very attractive as a garnish at the same time.

A batch of samosas are always a hit. These are Indian pastry triangles with a filling. Not everyone can do them so that they are available at your local supermarket in the frozen. You have deep FRY them, but if you empty them n some paper towel as most of the oil that will pull away.

Samosas can also be filled with meat for non Vegetarian guests. Try also to use some potatoes, Yams or sweet potato. It is a nice thick fill, which do not release just like your other vegetables. These are one of these appetizers that never fails!

The same goes for bruschetta. All it takes is to divide your French loaf into slices and prepare a special topping for the Pre Heat the oven ... and toast the slices of sharp or golden brown. Organic spices-a Trend for consumers ' wishes

One of the fastest growing parts of food businesses is step towards organic food and particularly the use of organic spices in cuisine.

No doubt that a large part of this increase has been driven by the consumer health issues. A major study, published by the National Research Council in the early 1990s found that children and infants is a major source of pesticide through diet. For most consumers, noticed something organic way "without chemicals" and it is a fundamental requirement. When food and spices is marked by the USDA certified organic means these products are cultivated on land which has not had synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides are applied for a minimum of three years.

Organic farmers and producers of organic spices and herbs work far beyond the rules for certification. They are committed to the health and well-being of the persons performing the work, the environment, and those of us who choose to buy organic. The best producers are working continuously to restore and strengthen the mother earth, respect the balance in nature and integrity of the food it resources. They focus on growing methods, and using words like "sustainable agriculture" that define how they see the need to protect land for the future.

Producers are designed to ensure that their products comply with the standards for sourcing which is in conformity with the national organic standards and meet the Quality Assurance International (QAI). Stamp of approval, without QAI consumers are not certain that they buy organic.

Organic products typically cost 10 to 40% more than similar conventionally produced stuff, so it is no surprise that organic food only account for 1-2% of total food sales worldwide. Organic food and particularly the use of organic spices is the fastest growing sector in the American food market out distancing the growth of the conventional market of a large number of.

Bottom Line, if you choose to buy organic "something" its likely you are concerned about your health, want to know that the product has been grown and harvested with a concern for the environment and are willing to pay slightly more for it.

Stocking your spice rack with organic spices and herbs suited with those criteria and adds an extra element to your decision ... taste! Certified organic spices, properly packed and date stamped fresh adds appreciable difference to cooking and palette.

Use your Toaster Oven to preserve your garden Bounty

I plant a large garden every year and I always try to use as much product as possible. Part of that means preserving things for use during the winter. I love looking at my dinner table in mid-January and still see food from my garden. Here are some ways that I use my Toaster Oven to help.

«Dried herbs

I love fresh herbs and always grow lots of them, basil, thyme, Rosemary, chervil, oregano and Mint are some of my favorites. They, of course, taste best when they are fresh and just plucked. But I think the drought a few of the extra herbs to use during the low season.

First warm your Toaster Oven to 200 degrees f. then remove the leaves from the clean, dry fresh herbs. Evenly in the herbs over a bakery pan lined with parchment paper. Baking pan in the Toaster Oven and turn off the oven. Check them for 1 hour. Herbs should be completely dry and crumble at the touch of a button. If not, heat the oven to 200 degrees F back. yield herbs, turn off the oven and check in 30 minutes. Repeat if necessary. Store the dried herbs in an airtight container in a dark place.

Oven dried tomatoes

I love the sun dried tomatoes, but they can be quite expensive. I do something similar in my Toaster Oven. First warm your oven to 200 degrees f. Wash your tomatoes and cut them in half. Place the tomatoes, cut page, in a bakery are lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with a fair amount of sea salt.

Bake for 3 hours. In the end, tomatoes red deep and about 1/4 of their original size. Place them in a glass jar and up with extra virgin olive oil. Store in refrigerator.

Dried Chile pepper

I love cooking spicy food, so I grow lots of chile pepper annually. I dry usually about half of them throughout the winter and spring. This method works for all types of chile pepper, although the time required for drying depends on the type of pepper used.

You need a Toaster Oven with a low temperature for this task, about 100-120 degrees F; often this temperature is achieved by a "warm" setting. If your Toaster Oven not go this low, one of you just cooking peppers which do not preserve them at all.

Heat the oven. Wash the peppers and remove the stems. Place them on a bakery are lined with parchment paper. Place them in the oven Toaster. Flip the peppers over 30 minutes until they are completely dry. This will take from 1 to 6 hours depending on size and moisture content of your peppers.

Store chilled, dried peppers in an airtight container in a dark place.

Cooking perfect Japanese rice without a rice cooker

Japanese rice is great! I eat it with everything these days, even things that you would not expect to go with it. It is truly versatile and has replaced bread and potatoes for me as my artificial staple fibres carbohydrates.

That is delicious, contrary to popular belief, it is also really easy to cook perfectly! You don't need a fancy rice cooker that excellent Japanese rice (though they are great for keeping your rice warm so you can eat it later).

Here is how I fix Japanese rice in the absence of a rice cooker. It takes about 5 minutes of preparation and 25 minutes to cook.

1. Standard measurement of rice is of Cup. Japanese rice cups hold 180 ml, which is approximately the size of a small Mug. A Cup will earn a person, so measure your parts accordingly. Place as many cups of rice as you need in an ordinary saucepan.

2. Next, you need to wash the rice. Pour in some water and shake and scrunch rice with his hands. The water is fast a milky white. When this happens, pour water in the sink, is careful not to all the rice. I do so usually by deposit in saucepan and use my hand as a barrier of sorts. You do not need to get rid of all the water, only a reasonable amount.

Rinse the rice once or twice. The water will never be perfectly clear, so don't worry about perfection. Make sure you have drained as much water as possible, otherwise the surplus will significantly add to the amount that we measure to Cook rice with.

4. Once your rice has been washed, take in the same cup used to measure parts and add the same amount of water in rice (2 cups water 2 cups rice). Then I usually a bit more-approximately 1/4 of a cup for 2 cups of rice, or 1/3 for 3 cups.

If you Pour water in saucepan along the inside, you'll catch any stray bits of rice can braces itself fixed. Every grain is important!

5. place your saucepan on the stove in the fireplace on your smallest and put a lid on it. Enter the flame to the lowest level and leave it in 25 minutes.

It is really as easy as that! In 25 minutes, you can enjoy delicious, fluffy, sticky Japanese rice, almost all rice cookers, gives you!
